Burgundy 2024 will be remembered as one of the most demanding growing seasons of the past decade. Relentless rain, intense mildew pressure, localised hail and uneven flowering pushed yields to historic lows across the Côte.

And yet, the wines tell a more nuanced story.

This is a classical vintage, defined by freshness, restraint and clarity of site rather than power or excess. Alcohols are modest, acidity is precise, and the best wines speak quietly but confidently of their origins. Whites, in particular, emerge as one of the year’s great successes, marked by tension, salinity and long-term promise.

Scarcity is real, but speculation misses the point. Burgundy 2024 rewards experience, judgement and philosophical clarity in the vineyard. It is a vintage shaped by decisions, not conditions alone.

Read the full report to explore how leading domaines navigated the season, which producers rose to the challenge, and how collectors should approach this quietly compelling year.

has never been one to follow tradition. From leaving her banking career to become a winemaker, to reshaping Châteauneuf-du-Pape with bold single-vineyard and varietal wines, she’s built a reputation as one of the region’s most exciting voices.

For Ferrando, Châteauneuf-du-Pape is about freedom. With 13 permitted grape varieties and five distinct soils, the appellation offers countless possibilities. “The only limit is to respect the appellation,” she says, and she has embraced that philosophy with energy and vision.

Her journey hasn’t been without risk. Bottling single-vineyard cuvées, producing rare 100% Clairette and Cinsault wines, and eventually rebranding everything under Famille Isabel Ferrando, she has continually challenged expectations. Yet her relentless pursuit of freshness, balance and authenticity has earned her global acclaim.

Two decades on, Ferrando remains a revolutionary force – and now, with her daughter beginning her own path in viticulture, the family legacy looks set to continue.

Since the first vintage from in 2018, Alvina Pernot and her husband Philippe Abadie have been unstoppable. With access to some of Puligny-Montrachet’s finest vineyards and glowing reviews from critics, the couple has quickly established themselves as one of Burgundy’s most exciting new names.

What began in a make-shift cellar beneath their home is now a thriving domaine, producing 35,000 bottles across 24 cuvées – including prized Premiers and Grands Crus. Each year, Alvina and Philippe continue to refine their precision-driven style of Chardonnay, balancing family legacy with their own modern vision.

With their 2024 release due in early October, we revisit their journey – from the humble beginnings of La Rue aux Vaches to the completion of their own winery – and look ahead to what’s next for this dynamic young estate.

The hill of Corton sits at the heart of the Côte d’Or, yet its white wines – particularly Corton-Charlemagne – are often overlooked compared to Burgundy’s more famous Grands Crus. With a history dating back to Charlemagne himself, this vast and complex site produces some of Burgundy’s most powerful, long-lived whites, shaped by diverse exposures, steep slopes and unique soils.

Today, Corton-Charlemagne is Burgundy’s largest white Grand Cru, stretching across three villages and offering a wide spectrum of styles – from lean, mineral-driven wines to rich, opulent expressions. Producers highlight its diversity as both a strength and a challenge: while quality varies widely, the potential for greatness is undeniable. Climate change has only reinforced the site’s strengths, helping these cooler vineyards achieve consistent ripeness while maintaining freshness.

Many winemakers now see Corton-Charlemagne as the “white Grand Cru of the future” – capable of rivaling Montrachet in complexity and longevity. With the ability to age gracefully for decades, these wines are increasingly being reassessed by collectors and critics alike.

We are delighted to offer a remarkable vertical of Solaia, sourced directly from the Antinori family’s own cellar.

These bottles, drawn from the family’s private collection, represent a library release of exceptional rarity. Perfectly stored and offered in pristine condition, they allow collectors to experience Solaia with the maturity, complexity and grace that only careful ageing in the estate’s own cellars can provide.

Among the highlights are the 2016 and 2015 vintages, both awarded a perfect score, together with a limited selection of single bottles and magnums.

Quantities are very limited, and opportunities to secure Solaia at this level of pedigree and provenance are exceedingly rare.

Few names in wine carry the weight of . With roots stretching back to 1385, the family has shaped Italian winemaking for over six centuries – from Chianti to the birth of the Super Tuscan movement.

Now, as the new vintage of Solaia is released, we caught up with Albiera Antinori – the 26th-generation CEO and first woman to lead her family’s historic estate. Despite presiding over nearly 3,000 hectares of vineyards across the globe, Albiera remains grounded, recalling childhood harvests at Tignanello and a path into wine that began almost by chance.

Since taking the reins, she’s overseen the creation of 12 wineries, worked alongside her sisters and father, and continued the family’s tradition of balancing innovation with heritage. For Albiera, being an Antinori means carrying forward not only a legacy, but a responsibility: to the land, to their people, and above all, to quality.
