What a wonderful surprise that came yesterday afternoon from

The beautiful edible bouquet made with love was inspiring and yesterday without any GP or hospital visits. I was working in the afternoon when I heard a loud door knock, only to be presented by this huge well packaged box.

I got my camera out and did a little bbq and we ate such a lovely meal. Whilst my son has reduced mobility still with pain he couldn’t sit outside but really enjoyed the wild garlic butter bbq baby fennel, asparagus and onions with rocket and parmesan. So very clever of you.

Thank you - it is so nice to be seen and cared for with a beautiful edible gift that keeps on giving. We felt really special and were lifted by you and your team. Hopefully when Wes is well we can visit you again at Borough market as we cook from your books and love your historic work of inspiring, feeding and delivering food to people and hospitality in London and the UK. ❤️

Market Day today and I’m celebrating Asparagus especially the purple variety.

It’s sunny in Queens Park and it’s a busy Sunday catching up with neighbours and producers

Getting Excited for no reason apart from a Victoria Sponge made on Sunday and being eaten by sneaky slices by me. Love his baking and resilience

A lovely brunch idea I did on Sunday using seasonal ingredients just bought from my local

You will have seen my wild garlic posts previously showing you how to make it, and you can also combine avocado within it so it isn’t as strong, however I use freshly ground pepper and love it to be a bit punchy - after all wild garlic is in season. And put my avocado slices on top.

These fat wonky Asparagus also go a long way using stalks and were not boiled just grilled on my griddle. I did the sourdough first with no oil to brown the bread and get the searing marks.

You could add fresh spinach and a poached egg with hollandaise sauce but I was hungry and my son isn’t a fan of eggs. Salmon would also work but he’s not a fan of that either 🤣

Nice brunch dish for the long Easter break ideas.

I’ve learnt a lot from working in Porcelain. And it sure teaches me things as well. Each piece takes about 3 weeks with weekly handling of 6+hours and even then it can bubble, warp, smash in the kiln, and this is all work in progress and patience.

The work continues learning what your hands can and cannot do, your brain trying to catch up, and your shoulders and body tired after the exertion. Striving for my own beauty with all its imperfections is my goal and then to live with the pieces so I can inspire you to cook and use beautiful simple ingredients on them, like a bought cauliflower head and leeks from my front garden yesterday with my camera. This is the whole process I do from recipe, to photography to ceramics. And it’s a Labour of love.

Getting these beauties ready for a set and to sell to a happy home. 😀
