Clover and Parsley are getting braver as they get more used to the farm (they've been here for 5 months now!) and clearly learning how to work their angles in a photo shoot. We think this could be the cover of their new album.
We just can't work out what their style of music would be... folk? Glam rock?
There's always that one person who ruins your candid shot. We're always struck by how much personality our chooks have, even if they do ruin our attempts at 'casual' photos.
Most of our animals spend some of their year away on one of the bigger Jamie's Farms. Here's Bumble getting back to the great outdoors, like any city goat she was a little suspicious at first.
That's not what we expected to sprout! Things grow in unexpected places often on our farm but we really didn't expect this squirrel to seemingly put down roots...
Farm friend Tony has found the warmest place on the farm to sit. The heat from our compost heaps really keeps him warm, and he keeps the mice population down as well!
ESPECIALLY during the cold winter we love our volunteers on the farm. Here's one of our longest serving vols, Kelly, who is literally inside a guinea pig hutch cleaning it out so our smallest friends can have a warm and cosy home. Thanks Kelly!
How's those new years resolutions going farm fans? Eating more greens doesn't seem to be a problem for our four legged friends... Perhaps more of a problem for our garden.
Another great wintertime snap, our bean trellis isn't holding up beans at the moment so it might as well hold up crows.
In all the hustle of Christmas we forgot to introduce you to our newest Guinea Pig. Please welcome to the farm Rodney! He's been settling in well, and he can't wait to meet all our young people in the new year!
What Christmas treats do our animals get? Since we've got all our harvest out, our sheep have the chance to pick through whats left in the beds. Here's Flora living her absolute best life.

Not quite reindeer hooves but still pretty good! We loved the visit from Whizz the horse last week. AND we're super proud of Rayhan for taking on the challenge of leading Whizz around.

Check out this 'Christmas Pudding' made by Maisy for some horse visitors we had on the farm last week. It's bread filled with carrots and apples. The horses liked it, we're hoping for something sweeter on our tables on Saturday!
Seems everyone likes getting home for Christmas. We're slowing down this week, and getting the time to snap some great pics of some of the wilder residents of our farm. Just like this little guy!
It's hard to believe but this little kid is a whole year old today! We really weren't expecting him to turn up but we're super glad he did. Happy Birthday Jupiter!

This is the face of someone who has yet to convince a rabbit to come out for a cuddle, but it's still hoping it can happen. We are constantly impressed by the tenacity of our young people, our programme has just finished for Christmas but we can't WAIT to get back to it in the new year!
We figured it was time to spruce up our barn and, though we say it ourselves, we think we've done tree-mendously.
This weeks #thursdaythrowback is our summertime hulahooping lessons! The wonderful Amelia Sparkles came to show some picnic-ers all her best moves. We're already planning next years adventures, we can wait for summertime!
We're open to all young people here, but Lola is definitely one of the youngest. She's great at photos, not much help mucking out the sheep... But then we all have talents and challenges.
Our Christmas events on the weekend were SO MUCH FUN. Thank you to the absolute army of volunteers who made it happen. The farm is definitely full of festive cheer this week.

Monika and Michelle are discovering some of the amazing mini-beasts that live on our farm. Ladybugs are super useful as they eat the things that eat our vegetables but who knew their larvae looked so cool? Michelle definitely didn't!

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 we've had to close our barn doors and pause all our outreach programmes. This also means we've had none of our usual fundraising methods available to support our work. Some of the brilliant artwork that cane together at our family day yesterday! Everyone drew or stuck something in out autumn forest which has become home to a giant hedgehog, pacman and squiggle tiger. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a wonderful day!

Look at our little pig family getting bigger and braver! We're in love with all of them! They still don't have names, we are happy to take suggestions...
Our goats seem to have hit their teens! We caught them showing off, trying to one up each other. Literally. They haven't quite worked out we can't feed them if they stand on the food box though...
Of course every day on the farm is special... Just today is extra special BECAUSE PIGLETS ARRIVED! We're so excited! Mum and babies mostly seem tired, of course, there's always one... If you wanna meet them, better make sure you get along to our volunteer day on the 2nd of Feb!
Our baby goats get more curious (and more vocal) everyday. We love watching them grow and finding new ways to get themselves into trouble. If only we didn't have to keep finding ways to get them out of trouble... #goats #urbanfarm #jamiesfarm
