WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT TOFU ‼️

Because I keep hearing the same three things…

• “It’s boring and bland”
• “It’s full of oestrogen”
• “You’re better off just eating meat for protein”

(🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️)

Tofu is fast becoming my favourite + most used ingredient on a day to day basis. and there are PLENTY of reasons why 👇

Not only is it INCREDIBLY versatile and an AMAZING flavour sponge, it is UNBELIEVABLY good for you too. You just need to know how to cook it - get it crispy, season it properly, serve it with the right things - and you unlock a whole new world of possibilities 👨🏻‍🍳

When it comes to protein… a block can contain up to 30g and costa around £1-2, which is pretty good going! I’ll save all the environmental benefits of doing tofu over meat for another time 🤣

The oestrogen thing is a very weird myth (obviously). Soy contains isoflavones, not human oestrogen, and the idea that eating tofu will somehow mess with your hormones is massively overblown + just a little bit silly 🤣

Honestly we should all be eating more tofu. It’s cheap, it’s good for you + it’s a more sustainable source of protein when it comes to the planet 🌍

I’ve shared my go-to tofu tips + 5 recipes over on YouTube. I promise, give tofu a go + I think you might start feeling a little differently about it 🫡

hair transplants, thinning hair, going bald + feeling insecure about appearances are NOT things we tend to talk about - especially if you’re a man🧍‍♂️

well, 18 months on, I thought it might be useful to share my experience of getting a hair transplant at the Wimpole Clinic London 👨‍⚕️

OBVIOUSLY surgery is not the right option for everyone (if you have lovely luscious locks good for you) + definitely do you research - this is just my experience over the last year and a half 🙏

but if you do know someone who’s insecure about their hair (likelihood is you do), they might want to know more about the realities of getting a hair transplant 👉

so yes this was me a few years ago now!

in my late teens I had always been a little bit insecure about my hair, but then in my early 20s I noticed that my hair was getting quite thin on top

nothing crazy and obviously a lot of people say they didn’t notice, but I noticed it, and yeah I was a bit worried about how it looked + the fact it would only get thinner

THEN all this social media stuff started and I think wit it the feelings about my hair intensified just a little bit 🤣

constantly taking photos + videos of yourself - even if it is cooking in the kitchen - made me more + more aware of my (lack) of hair, which tbh made me feel quite anxious!

especially on shoots, I was CONSTANTLY feeling like I had to position myself ‘at the right angle’ to avoid seeing the thin hair on my head

the more this happened, the more it fed into real life too. constantly looking at myself in the mirror, trying to fix my hair + just generally feeling

I know not everyone is on ‘shoots’ but same as going into the office, meeting new people, going out - feeling insecure about the way you look is never fun

this photo was at my Wagamama menu launch in October 2024. I still look at this photo sometimes and think wow I really didn’t realise that I had no hair 🤣

after quite a long time thinking about it, doing my research + chatting it though with Geli, a hair transplant was becoming more likely!

I contacted Elise at the Wimpole Clinic London + talked her through where I was at with my hair. I went in for a consultation, sent in photos

🍅 TOMATO SEASON IS HERE 🍅

it is time to eat tomatoes for breakfast, lunch + dinner. they’re tasting at their sweet, juicy best - so here’s some recipe inspo for August 🌞

let me know which one tickles your fancy most👨🏻‍🍳

you can’t go wrong with panzanella. it might not be traditional BUT I like turning my bread into garlicky, oregano croutons which really do work so well in a salad like this 🧄

then to finish, lots of fresh basil, tangy shallots + a dressing made from the leftover tomatoey juices 🍅🍅🍅

the ultimate summer tomato recipe 🔥 and also just my favourite soup ever forever 🇪🇸

peak summer is always the best time to make it, when tomatoes taste so good. refreshing, cooling + just what you need 🌞

love me a speedy puff pastry recipe. such a good summer sharer + the perfect crowd pleaser. very easy to throw together too ✅

pestoey base + juicy tomato slices. baked until golden crisp then topped with fresh basil, toasted pine nuts + burrata-style cheese (JULIENNE BRUNO® always) 🌱

not quite the weather for it where I am, but I actually reckon this would be very tasty cold too 🧊

hot or cold, Tom yum is a very fun way of enjoying tomatoes 🍜 🇹🇭

perhaps one for later on in August because you probably don’t want to turn your oven on right now...

BUT when you do, this is a great way of enjoying the best tasting tomatoes 🍅

roasted + flavoured with harissa , then blended into a flavour-packed soup. topped with crispy chickpeas, coriander + cooling yoghurt - NOM 🤤

TOFU 101 💪🌱👨🏻‍🍳

(for full video, head to link in bio 🙏)

if there's one ingredient I want everyone to eat more of, it's tofu. 1/4 of the UK population says they hate the stuff - but I think that's because they don't know how to cook it properly 🧐

not only is it packed with plant protein, but it's an incredibly versatile ingredient that you really can do so much with. it's affordable, accessible + a far more sustainable protein source than meat ♻️

on YouTube this week, we're making 5 different recipes - all using tofu as the main ingredient. we're using smoked tofu to fill our Döner, extra firm tofu as mince for Turkish-style Pasta, silken tofu to form a Super Greens pasta sauce, then medium firm tofu for a serious sandwich + speedy lunch bowl.

so versatile, so delicious + so good for you. we should all be eating more tofu - let me know which recipe you'd like to see in the comments below 👇

🍅🧊GAZPACHO 🇪🇸⚽️

I don’t know about you, but it is TOO hot to cook right now - and with Spain playing tonight - it felt like the perfect excuse to make one of my favourite Spanish summer dishes 🤤

an ice-cold gazpacho that’s ready in 15 minutes, requires no cooking & makes the most of summer’s best produce 🌞

AD| I picked up all my veg from for just over £5 - simple, seasonal ingredients that are great quality + brilliant value ✅

I finished my gazpacho with frozen tomato + olive ice cubes, plus grated frozen tomato + olives over the top for a refreshing summer twist 🥵

honestly, make a big batch of this for the fridge + it will get better every day. my full recipe can be found below - so enjoy! and as always, let me know if you give it a go 👇

INGREDIENTS (serves 4–6)

🍅 1kg vine ripened tomatoes
🌶️ 2 red peppers
🥒 1 cucumber
🧅 1 red onion
🧄 2-3 garlic cloves
🫒Good glug (approx 100ml) extra virgin olive oil
🍷2-3 tbsp red w**e vinegar
🧂Salt & black pepper, to taste
🧊Ice cubes (or olive / tomato ice cubes), to serve

optional: grated frozen tomato + olives 🧊🫒🍅

METHOD

1. Chop all the veg + add to a large bowl. Season well with salt, pepper, the olive oil + vinegar. Mix well, then optionally leave to marinade for 30 minutes.
2. Using a stick blender or bullet blender, add all your veg + blend until silky smooth, adding more oil or a splash of water to loosen if required - you want it completely silky smooth.
3. Taste + adjust the seasoning if needed. Chill in the fridge (or stir through some ice if you can’t wait like me!)
4. To serve, get your frozen tomato + olive ice cubes if you like, ladle over the gazpacho, then a little grated frozen tomato over the top.

⚽️ LOADED MATCHDAY NACHOS 🌮🌱

potentially the most incredible snack for watching the football. a platter of nachos loaded up PROPERLY… 🤤

layers of tortilla chips, black beans, corn, silky cashew queso, smoky tofu mince, garlicky sour cream, fresh pico de gallo, pickled onions & plenty of guacamole - finished with TABASCO®️Jalapeño Sauce for a mild, zesty kick to light things up 🌶️

Get this in the middle of the table when the football’s on + they’ll be gone in seconds 😮‍💨
