Sinless Cocktails was founded by Sara and James Stiller in June 2013. Friends of the couple know that both Stiller's have a passion for cocktails. Sara has enjoyed making and serving her own cocktails to guests for many years, with Boxing Day regulars looking forward to sampling her latest concoctions. Despite sleights against his manliness, James will happily consume Cosmopolitans for an entire e
vening out. In August 2012 Sara made the difficult decision to abstain from alcohol completely, due to health reasons. For ten months the bottles in the liquor cabinet gathered dust as Sara couldn't face to make cocktails for James or her guests (envy isn't her strong point). On a Sunny Saturday in June however, Sara picked some chocolate mint from her garden and made James a Mojito. She then made a virgin version for herself, adding apple juice and elderflower cordial to the standard ingredients. It tasted fantastic and prompted an afternoon of brainstorming in Chez Stiller's garden. The ready made cocktail market is dominated by cocktail mixers designed for use with alcohol, or with alcohol already combined. Sara had yet to taste a ready made cocktail mix she liked with alcohol, let alone one good enough to drink without! Alcoholic ready made cocktail's were banned from Chez Stiller after the time Sara spent £14 on a product (which shall remain nameless) and was promptly poured down the drain in disgust! The only alcohol free cocktails halfway decent tend to be juice based. Whilst fairly tasty, they are in essence, just another fruit juice and tend to have to be kept in the fridge. Despite the lack of quality ready made cocktails in the supermarket, the pub scenario is even worse. Sara was increasingly frustrated with the soft drink options when she went out to a restaurant, bar or pub. Only 1-2 juices or cokes were consumable before sugar overload kicked in and it was on to water. Obviously when on offer, Sara would get a "mocktail", but in truth she also found it frustrating paying through the nose for one, especially when an alcohol version was a pound or so more. So Sinless was born. A range of appetising, flavoursome and high quality alcohol free cocktails. We hope to be able to launch the range both in pubs/bars/restaurants and in supermarkets. So whether you are at home or out and about, you can enjoy a refreshing alcohol free beverage that you wont get bored of.
