Hey! My name is .created.
The moment I discovered that African rhythms could exist together with electronic music, it felt like I had finally found the sound I was looking for.
Before that, I was producing hip-hop and trap. I loved creating music, but I never felt like I had found the sound that fully connected with me.
Discovering sounds like Batida and Kuduro showed me a world where heritage, rhythm and electronic music could come together. Even though these sounds come from different places, they connected deeply with me as someone with Ghanaian and Togolese roots living in Germany.
From that moment on, music became more than a hobby. I wanted to build my life around it and share this vision with others.
When I started looking for spaces for African electronic music in Berlin, I realized they were rare. That’s one of the reasons why we created Amour Africain .berlin. If there is no space at the table, sometimes you have to build one.
Beyond music, I hope to inspire the next generation of creatives to see that they can create, build and shape culture in their own way.
Music has completely changed my life. Today, it’s the tool I use to connect with people, share my story and keep building things that inspire others.
Thank you .global for creating spaces like Groove for Good and giving me the opportunity to share my journey and talk about the future of African electronic sounds.
