BIG HEARTS…
These people have big hearts, really genuine and lovely souls.
Let me tell you a story…
Sometimes the bottle cap in our extra virgin olive oil may not open properly. In reality, in the 15 years since we launched our Olive Branch extra virgin olive oil, it’s only been reported twice. This second time, the lady sadly cut her hand slightly as she was trying to open the bottle.
She emailed us to let us know. There was no anger. She was so kind. She knew that these things happen in rare occasions and above all she just wanted us to know for improvement purposes.
Naturally, we wanted to replace the product for her…
She had purchased the bottle online through one of our stockists. She could be anywhere in the country. But when she sent us the address, she was just a 15 minute drive from us. So our cofounder Kamil decided to drop the replacement bottle with a few extra goodies himself.
Upon arriving, she wasn’t home but her husband welcomed Kamil inside. They talked and he was fascinated by our story and how we make our extra virgin olive oil. He then talked about all the things that he grows in his garden and Kamil was equally fascinated.
As it was time to leave, he threw a bag into Kamil’s hands, filled with delicious items that he had grown in his own garden.
The energy that we feel when we meet someone with such a big heart is hard to describe. Kamil was there to carry out a gesture of goodwill and offer an apology for the incident. It seems the family had already accepted this long before Kamil arrived and were already free from attachment to the incident. And so instead, Kamil and her husband were able to engage in a beautiful conversation and have a meaningful exchange.
What a beautiful soul and what a beautiful family.
