Vega Sicilia Único 2003, a red wine from the region of Ribera del Duero. It’s a blend of 92% Tempranillo and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine offers intense black fruit and blue fruit flavours with smoke and floral accents. Displaying the scents of ripe cherry, dark berry and plum with cured Tabacco with and a kind finish trust.
Aged for 7 years before being bottled starting with 15 months in large oak vats followed by 25 months in new barrique before being transferred to used ones for another 17 months and ending its elevage with a further 22 months in those large wood vats again.

Of the 1000 hectares which make up the Vega Sicilia estate, 210 are used for wine growing under 19 soil types divided in 52 plots with very specific characteristics.
225 litre French and American oak barrel both new and used, 20,000 litre tanks.
A long complex process for a legendary wine.
