Happy Solstice one n all! Here is the moon as midsummer hit last night. The 21st is a day of reflection, leaving the past behind and welcoming in the new. Each year my thoughts are with the lovely Lisa Grayley, who I can't believe graduated from this dense world 24 years ago leaving us with the gift of one exceptional young lady, Lottie May Hulbert. It is also the reason that I chose this day for the official release of Mrs Bun's Allotment Diary and The Culinary Capers of Felix & Pi on Amazon (link in comments).

Mrs Bun is back!

After running record labels through the 1990s with her late DJ-producer partner Andrew Weatherall then making her own music in the 2000s, Nina Walsh started rekindling her love of gardening in 2005 when she acquired an allotment in Crystal Palace. This led to Nina sharing observations and recipes in her monthly Mrs. Bun’s Allotment Watch column for the Caught By The River nature website between 2011-12.

At the same time, Nina and her friend Felix Muckart were running a mobile catering business called Felix & Pi, keeping diaries of their adventures. The Mrs Bun columns and Felix & Pi memories are captured here, along with Foreword by author Kris Needs explaining the unlikely connection between Crystal Palace’s allotment community and its vibrant music scene; all against the poignant back story of her sadly missed comrade Erick Legrand, who passed away in 2011.

The answer lies in the soil and a unique journey nestles in the pages of this extraordinary little book.
