As part of our new product development with the public, we pitched them an idea:
what if Duolingo helped teach people about ingredients in different languages?
Imagine scanning your snack…
and Duolingo teaches you how to pronounce the ingredients inside it and explains what they actually mean.
Food is supposed to be a universal language, yet most of us don’t even know the complex ingredients found in everyday snacks.
Could this be the collaboration that challenges the food industry?
Let’s see.

Ingredients you can spell and actually know.
If people eat our snacks, they should be part of shaping them.
For now, we wanted to get Duolingo’s attention.
And honestly… we’d love it if they said yes.
