Long term Water Freedom customer, George, sent us this video with his thoughts about his Water Freedom systems after six years of use.

The freedom to use water without worrying, have long showers and use a washing machine, as well as the ability to make your cruising plans based on where you want to be, rather than planning the next water point is feedback we get quite often.

Pretty chilly out there!

Water Freedom customers who have been through a cold winter already know the drill, but if you’ve had Water Freedom installed recently, all you need to do is make a hole in the ice and you can make water just like you usually do.

If the extraction hose has been in the water overnight, the part near the waterline might have frozen, but it can be quickly defrosted in a bowl of warm water and used as normal. The other area where things sometimes freeze up is the connector (usually on the bow bulkhead) that the extraction hose attaches to. A couple of buckets of hot water usually deals with that.

The Water Freedom OneTouch on this boat has hidden away really neatly on this stunning boat built by Russell Narrowboats Limited It makes water at the touch of a button, meaning that the owners can live aboard without having to worry about finding the next water point, enabling them to use water like they would in a house. That means they can have long showers and use their washing machine whenever they want to. The Water Freedom Pure in the galley, produces drinking water that’s cleaner than any tap water.

Come along to the Water Freedom workshop this weekend to see what we make. All the Water Freedom systems will be there to see, and we’ll also be showing what some of the team create, make and do when they’re not making Water Freedom systems. Matt will have a selection of his photos, John will have his book, The Cosmic Knot Paradox, and Tom will have at least one of his sculptures as well as a collection of photos from his cycle ride from London to Tokyo.

And it’s not just our workshop that’ll be open, it’s Markfield Rd Festival weekend. Most of the studios in Gaunson House will be open to the public allowing you to see what some of the amazing artists and creators in this creative hub make and do. As well as all of that, there’ll be a great selection of food and drink from the cafe as well as a number of pop ups that will be here over the festival weekend.

Today (Friday 12th Sep) 6pm to 10pm, then 2pm to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Come along to Gaunson House for the Markfield Road Festival in Tottenham this weekend where the artists and creators in this amazing building will be opening up their studios to show what they do.

We’ll be opening up our workshop to show you how Water Freedom Systems get made. You’ll be able to see the new Water Freedom Smart system that won a nomination for Best New Product at this year’s Crick Boat Show. We’ll also have our other systems on display, including the Water Freedom Cube, Pure and PurePlus.

As well as the Water Freedom systems, some of the team members will be showing what they create in their spare time. Matt will have a selection of his photography work, John will have copies of his new book, The Cosmic Knot Paradox, and Tom will have some of his sculptures on display.

The studios will be open 6 to 10pm tomorrow (Friday 12th Sep), then Saturday and Sunday (2pm to 6pm).

Massive congrats to Water Freedom engineer, Ed Blakey, who, last weekend, not only completed the 130 mile Leeds to Liverpool Canal Race, but managed to run the gruelling distance in 36 hours and 27 minutes, beating his best time for that event by an hour and a quarter. Way to go Ed, you’re an inspiration to us all.

We wonder if the Everyman will be screening other avian themed classics like “The Birds”, “Howard the Duck”, or “The Pelican Brief” in the coming weeks.
