Riyadh 🧡💜✨
This cake draws inspiration from the unconventional, abstract arrangements of GRIMA, while also embracing the fragmented language of Cubism and the rich, contrasting textures of precious materials.
Each gem was individually made from isomalt and backed with silver or gold leaf to ensure the entire piece sparkled. Gold leaf was brushed over heavily textured sugarpaste to evoke the character of hammered precious metals.
The sculptural composition brings together fractured geometric forms, layered metallic surfaces and jewel-like accents, creating something we have never seen before in cake.
