James Kingcook

From an early age James was taught to cook by his mother, who was a cookery teacher at Westminster College. She brought home food made by her students from all over the world and so James love of food had begun. His mother was a very good cook and had an extensive range of recipes whereas James rarely uses a recipe and makes things up playing with story, texture, colour, flavours and ingredients to create balance and harmony working from memories of food once consumed and enjoyed. He has worked in cafes, in outside catering and has always been the main cook in the kitchen at home finding that if you pick up an onion and start slicing and dicing it feels quite calming and mediative. Then you just see what you've got in the fridge or find what inspired you during the day. He loves cooking for his friends as Food is for sharing and so here he shares hopefully to inspire.
