3 Daily Habits to Support Estrogen Clearance 🌿🧬

Feeling sluggish, bloated, or struggling with heavy periods? It might be an oestrogen clearance issue! 🌿✨

When our bodies produce oestrogen, it needs to be effectively broken down by the liver and flushed out through the gut. If this process slows down, excess oestrogen can be reabsorbed into the bloodstream.

3 Simple Daily Habits to Keep Oestrogen in Balance:

1️⃣ Eat Cruciferous Veggies Daily: Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage contain a compound called I3C (Indole-3-carbinol) which supports liver detoxification paths.

2️⃣ Prioritise 25–30g of Fibre: Soluble fibre (found in chia seeds, oats, and lentils) binds to excess hormones in the digestive tract so they can be safely eliminated.

3️⃣ Stay Hydrated with Lemon Water: Water supports bowel regularity, preventing stagnation in the colon where hormones can get reabsorbed.

Navigating perimenopause or menopause? What you eat can make a huge difference! 🌸✨

Hormonal shifts during perimenopause can impact energy levels, bone density, and muscle mass. Prioritising these 4 nutrient groups can help you feel strong and balanced:

1️⃣ Phytooestrogens (Flaxseeds, Chickpeas, Organic Soy): Plant compounds that gently mimic oestrogen in the body to help ease hot flashes and night sweats.
2️⃣ Calcium & Vitamin D (Greek Yoghurt, Leafy Greens, Fortified Plant Milks): Essential for maintaining bone strength as oestrogen levels naturally decline.
3️⃣ High-Quality Protein (Eggs, Salmon, Tofu, Beans): Crucial for preserving lean muscle mass, supporting metabolism, and maintaining steady energy.
4️⃣ Magnesium-Rich Foods (Pumpkin Seeds, Dark Chocolate, Spinach): Helps improve sleep quality, support mood balance, and reduce fatigue.

Did you know your gut controls your hormone levels? 🧬✨

Inside your gut microbiome lives a special collection of bacteria called the Estrobolome. Its main job? Metabolising and regulating excess oestrogen in your body!

When your gut health is thriving, your hormones stay balanced. But when your gut microbiome is out of balance, it can lead to oestrogen dominance (causing heavy periods, fatigue, and mood fluctuations).

3 Easy Ways to Keep Your Estrobolome Happy:
🥦 Eat Cruciferous Veggies: Broccoli, kale, and cabbage contain compounds that help process oestrogen efficiently.
🌾 Increase Soluble Fibre: Oats, flaxseeds, and legumes help safely flush excess hormones out of the body.
🧄 Add Fermented Foods: Live yoghurt, kefir, and sauerkraut nourish beneficial gut bacteria.
