The Pink Lady isn’t just pretty - it’s storied, stylish, and sharper than you think. Once the toast of pre-Prohibition America, this classic gin cocktail slipped off the menu for decades… until now.

At Sister Ray in Liverpool, she’s back with a modern twist, while still keeping that silky egg white finish. Blushing never looked this bold.

Just a short walk from Green Park, has reopened with a refreshed look and a travel-themed menu that’s an adventure in itself. 🧳

In a part of London where style often overshadows substance, we were very impressed by the creativity and ex*****on of the cocktails here.

The glossy ‘Travel Edition’ menu, promising “an exhilarating journey of sensory stimulation,” delivered exactly that - a perfect escape from a rainy Mayfair afternoon. With a side of Steak Frites (the ultimate drinking snack 🍟), we sampled cocktails themed to destinations around the globe.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 From Scotland, the ‘Lomond’ cocktail offered not only two types of Scotch whisky but ‘edible poetry’, and when it arrived, it was garnished with the consumable words of Rabbie Burns. Thoughtful and delicious.

🇬🇷 Greece’s ‘Olive’ was a standout - a crisp, clean gin Martini featuring subtle notes of vanilla and anise. The highlight? A ‘molecular olive’ that burst in the mouth, releasing an explosion of flavour.

🇻🇳 Vietnam’s ‘1990’ was another delight. Inspired by Vietnamese egg coffee, this rich, creamy, rum-based cocktail was served with a delicate chocolate garnish designed to mimic the textures of Son Doong - the world’s largest cave.

This could be the most delicious whiskey cocktail EVER. 😲

👉 INGREDIENTS

40ml Whiskey
25ml Espresso
10ml Coffee Liqueur
10ml Banana Liqueur
5ml Sugar Syrup

👉 METHOD

Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled coupe, then garnish with a fresh mint leaf. 🍃

THIS is how you launch* a product! 👏👏👏⁠

*Technically a relaunch, as have unveiled their ‘Crown Jewel’ - a premium, 50% ABV gin - as a permanent addition to their line-up following previously limited releases over the last 20 years.⁠

Hosted at the iconic Tower of London, our evening began with a tour from one of the resident Beefeaters (who else?!) and a look around the REAL Crown Jewels held in the Tower’s vaults (no photos allowed in there!). 👑⁠

After that, we were welcomed into the White Tower by dancers and violinists for pre-dinner Crown Jewel Martinis created by world-class bartenders and , and an introduction to the spirit by Beefeater’s Master Distiller .⁠

We were so, so impressed by the thought behind this event and the ex*****on on the night. Congratulations to all involved.⁠

And, as the proud owners of our own personalised bottle of Crown Jewel, we can confirm the gin is delicious! 😍⁠

The 2022 rankings have been announced and the world has a new number one! 🏆

Congratulations to - and how fitting to take the title at the ceremony in their beautiful home city of Barcelona, the first time the awards have taken place outside London (and the first time the top spot has been claimed by a bar not located in New York or London!).

We’ll share more from our Iberian adventures soon, but for now this is the moment the Paradiso team claimed their crown.

Did you know there’s a tropical escape in North London that’ll bring back all those summer beach bar vibes?! 🏝 [ad]⁠

Laki Kane owner and bartender is our guide to this delightful rum cocktail - a drink where Mayan culture meets the Italian love for ‘aperitivo’ - and with the sparkling touch of Sanpellegrino Aranciata adding a beautifully orangey flavour. 🍊⁠

Nicaraguan Rum | Amaro Dolce | Chocolate Wine | Cran & Berry Syrup* | Sanpellegrino Aranciata⁠

*The syrup is made with cranberry juice, leftover over-ripened cranberries, peels and pith from lemons that have been used for juicing, and sugar.⁠

In a further nod to sustainability, the cocktail is served on top of a smoking Mayan temple that’s made out of waste, including wood offcuts, bamboo and coconut husk. 🔥⁠

The perfect drink if you've got a sweet tooth, the 'Beau-Nana' is made with a seriously delicious vanilla and banana-infused vodka! 🍌🍒⁠

Garnished with blowtorched and still smouldering toasted marshmallows, you'll smell this delightful drink before you sip it.
