Lover of hummus and tired of bland, unhealthy options, Hannah decided to combine her creative cooking and eagerness to help prevent food waste into healthy, punchy vegetable hummus creations from surplus. Over the last five years, Hannah has cooked for families in the UK and all over Europe, predominantly as a ‘holiday chef’. She would often convert the leftover Ottolenghi type salads into dips for the next meal. Nearly every day the question would be “what’s the dip of the day Hannah”?! Our hummus is not just for eating as a dip but fantastic with any meal, as an accompaniment or sauce; add to chicken, fish, veggies, pasta or as a spread. The list is endless... be creative!

Chic Piggy Tuesday update! 🐷 🐷

Very excitingly, they’ve been trained on their little electric fence and are now able to be in their new big pen in the wood 🪵 🙏😁.

Ram and Ona are super happy piggies rummaging around and digging up the soil while never failing to run 💯 when they hear us come with their food.

Definitely learnt that the saying Greedy Pigs 🐷 is the real deal!

Pumpkin season is here! 🎃

Before you bin your carved pumpkins this year, give them a second life on your breakfast plate. All that flesh you scooped out (and the shell, if you’ve been brave with the knife) roasts beautifully into something sweet, sticky and golden.

Here’s how we do it: chop your pumpkin into chunks, toss in a little oil, salt and pepper, and roast until soft and caramelised at the edges. While that’s in the oven, melt some butter with a handful of fresh sage leaves until they turn crisp and the butter smells nutty.

Then build your toast. Start with a thick layer of hummus (obvs - our favourite is our bloody delicious Good Gut hummus, available on ocado ), pile on the roasted pumpkin, drizzle over the sage butter and finish with a scattering of toasted sunflower seeds for crunch.

Creamy, sweet, savoury and a little bit crunchy. It’s autumn on a plate, and a much better ending for your pumpkin than the compost bin.
