What a phenomenal experience!

Today we made a delicious Shepherd's Pie with a vegetable surprise and creamy butter bean mash, all plant based and made without added salt or oil.

The feeling afterwards was pure euphoria. I can't wait to do it all again!

Would you like to bring the flavours of Jamaica and the vibrant traditions of Caribbean cuisine to your school, home or corporate office?

Planning a team-building day? Looking for an inspiring lunch and learn? Want to diversify your students’ culinary experiences?

I offer engaging cooking workshops that combine food, culture, creativity and education, with dishes that can be adapted to a range of dietary needs, including vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and nut-free options.

I am a Swiss educated chef, having studied in Switzerland, trained at the United Nations in Geneva, and in the last 12 months participated in plant-based culinary experiences in Bangkok, and France including advanced vegan pastry.

I bring a global perspective to every workshop, connecting food with history, heritage and learning.

Earlier this year, as part of an International Day at a secondary school in England, students were introduced to Jamaican cuisine through a hands-on cooking workshop, where they learned how to make vegan, egg-free, dairy-free and nut-free Jamaican banana fritters, a traditional dish with so much history and meaning behind it.

The students also learned how to make:

🍊 Orange foam
🌱 Chickpea meringue, including chocolate-flavoured chickpea meringue
✨ Sweet roasted chickpeas
🍊 How to zest an orange correctly to maximise flavour and reduce waste
🍊 How to segment an orange properly

I felt like the Pied Piper of banana fritters because students kept coming back for more and more! Their enthusiasm was incredible, so much so that they requested the recipe so they could recreate it at home.

The teachers absolutely loved both the experience and the food:

"I heard how much the kids loved it. The Food Tech team said you were amazing and wanted to recruit you full time!"

With Black History Month approaching, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring Jamaican history, culture and cuisine into your school, organisation or community through an engaging culinary experience.
