We are VERY EXCITED to announce that NEXT SATURDAY 23rd May, Q is teaming up with and to bring you a wicked event in the heart of London at Munster Tavern.

Every single ticket comes with a can of Q included, so the entire venue will be fuelled up and bringing the energy. This has never been done before and we're super excited to see how this goes.

Downstairs, Furze will be supplying the warm, groovy vibes with house and garage tracks all night long. Expect uplifting rhythms and soulful cuts, the perfect soundtrack for stepping into summer.

Upstairs, Mandrill Sound will be bringing the heat with breaks, 140, dub and syncopated techno. Expect some hefty basslines and a whole lotta energy that will pair perfectly with a can of Q.

First up this week we're heading over to again, where is headlining on Friday night with , Alex Galloway and Birrell also playing. This should be quite a heavy acid tech set so a couple of Qs will be needed beforehand 🚀. We will be there and I'm excited to see these artists as well as the club which I haven't made it to yet. Tickets on final release.

On Saturday, (Martyna Maja) is playing an A/V set at , a basement club below Tottenham Court Road. I haven't heard much about this venue or had a chance to get down to it yet - if you have been please let us know how it is. Former Hackney girl and all-round creative VTSS has played some amazing sets in the past and again is very tech heavy, but with a mix of other genres (including the occasional pop track) thrown in to keep you on your toes. Gutted to be missing this one.

Another week another bank holiday, perfect occasion for a box of Q...

On Saturday, is fronting a day and night event up at , which is not cheap but a good option if you want a big blow out, with 17 hours of big tunes from the likes of Wigflex, Oriana and John Talabot. Wigflex is a legend of the UK underground scene known as much for his sets as his parties, so would expect this to be a guaranteed good night.

If you're in need of Sunday night plans, get yourself over to where is playing. Izco has quite a personalised garage sound, taking the edges off and making it a little bit softer and bouncier, and bringing in some more rogue genres when he feels it. With a new album coming out tomorrow, there will be some new tracks for you to get your teeth stuck into also.

Lenzman heads the lineup at on Saturday for a night of drums and jungle. His label, The North Quarter, is hosting this night and so you'll get to hear some of the best dnb DJs on a Funktion One sound system. If you don't know Lenzman, he's an excellent liquid dnb artist and tends to focus more on the flow in his DJ sets than going more aggressive towards jump up or anything in that realm.

Lastly, have got your bank holiday sorted in Hitchin, with a big event planned at The Glasshouse. A qu**ky growing events company and DJ collective they are showcasing some local DJ talent on Saturday for a night of good house and good vibes, go and check them out.

What's on this week...

On Saturday is playing at in Peckham - still haven't made it down to this club since the reopening but it's high on the list. Pangaea is a co-founder of the Hessle Audio label alongside Ben UFO and Pearson Sound, and he’s been a massive influence on the UK electronic scene for over 15 years, blending UK garage rhythms with gritty techno.

For something more low key, is hosting a free event on Friday featuring LEV, Faro, June and Donsurf for a house and breakbeat night on vinyl. If you haven't been before it's a super relaxed and friendly space, well worth a visit.

Our third event is put on by .party . I don't know much about this promoter, club or artists but I'm getting good vibes from the poster art. Located in the Harringay warehouse district, looks like it could be fun.

First up this week, are hosting a party to celebrate turning 15 by taking over the "Bermondsey Triangle" (MOT, Ormside Projects, Avalon Cafe) and featuring the lineup of a small festival, including , and Tim Reaper among many others. The music will be varied and is billed to feature some experimental genres such as singeli (apparently a Tanzanian genre that gets up to 300 bpm), as well as jungle and techno. Tickets not cheap and already on final release so move quick!

For something more low key, .events are celebrating turning 1 with a minimal night at in Hackney on Staurday, with the lineup featuring Sincerely Simon. Should be a fun intimate one, if you haven't been before it's a great venue, think small basement big beats.

Over in Deptford, Hexed are returning to on Friday for their second event in quick succession. Again this will be a more low key intimate one, with and .bell taking the wheel on the decks - tickets only £6 while they last.

I'm not sure I'm ready for the weekend again, but it's nearly upon us so as usual we have selected a few of our favourite picks for you to enjoy

Kicking us off on Friday night are teaming up with one of my favourite day festivals .rally.rally to bring you a big tech night at .ldn. Headlining is DJRum, known for whacking a bit of jungle into his techno sets, while Carrier will play b2b with Emily Jeanne and Lena Willikens plays b2b with Darwin.

Alternatively, is playing on Friday night at .music in Peckham. Carpet shop is a great intimate venue, while Hagan plays very Afro-influenced sets blending highlife and afrobass tracks with some more familiar UK beats.

On Saturday, the forecast over Hackney Wick is for some big beats as put on a day party at . On the decks is father-daughter duo Re:ni & Biggabush who I would expect to play a dub heavy set, followed by YSL and Nida Jafri. And to top it all off, it's completely free!

It's not officially Friday, but it is net Friday which is even better, and there is a big four day weekend to enjoy ahead with plenty of events for you to get your teeth stuck into

On Saturday, Seoul-based (half of Salamanda) and will be playing at .ldn in Bermondsey, along side Blossom Hill in a stacked 5am-er that should be a bit more leftfield than the usual MOT night. All three artists have quite a unique emotive style and I'm absolutely gutted to be missing this one, which I think will be a belter.

Over in Brixton take over for a full six‑hour all‑day session. Often described as "post-dubstep", they have a wicked sound and can definitely turn it up a notch when required. If day drinking is for you then look no further. If it's not, crack open a Q and then see how you feel.

Last but certainly not least, UK garage legend is playing at in Angel on Sunday. One of my favourite pubs (the new pizza residency downstairs is excellent), it's a small casual venue and for only £6 this is an absolute steal if you want to revel in the nostalgia of some UKG classics!
