If you’ve been looking for a good stainless steel pan, I’ve really enjoyed using the RedChef for steak. It heats evenly, gives a beautiful sear, and is quickly becoming one of my go-to pans in the kitchen. 🥩🔥

Here’s how I make my medium-well steak:

Ingredients:
• 1 steak
• Salt, black pepper & onion powder
• 1 tbsp high-smoke-point oil
• 1 tbsp butter
• 4 garlic cloves
• 2 sprigs rosemary

1. Take the steak out 30 mins before cooking, pat dry and season generously on both sides.
2. Heat the RedChef stainless steel pan on low-medium heat for about 4 mins. Test with a few drops of water, they should form little balls and glide around the pan.
3. Wipe the pan dry, add oil and place in the steak. Leave untouched for 90 seconds, then flip.
4. Sear each edge for 30–45 seconds.
5. Lower the heat, add butter, garlic and rosemary, then baste for 30–60 seconds.
6. Cook until the internal temperature reaches around 66–68°C for medium-well.
7. Rest for 5 mins, slice and serve. 🥩

How to cook a medium-well steak in a stainless steel pan 🥩🔥

Crispy crust, juicy centre and garlic rosemary butter. Here’s my easy stainless steel pan steak recipe.

Ingredients:
• 1 steak
• Salt
• Black pepper
• Onion powder
• 1 tbsp high-smoke-point oil
• 1 tbsp butter
• 4 garlic cloves
• 2 sprigs rosemary

How I made it :

1. Take the steak out 30 minutes before cooking, pat dry and season generously on both sides with salt, black pepper and onion powder.
2. Heat your stainless steel pan on low-medium heat for about 4 minutes. Test with a few drops of water. When they form little balls that glide around the pan, it’s ready.
3. Wipe out the water, add the oil and place the steak in the pan. Leave it untouched for about 90 seconds, then flip.
4. Continue cooking on medium-low heat, using a steak weight if you have one for an even sear.
5. Sear the fat and edges for 30–45 seconds each until nicely browned.
6. Lower the heat and add the butter, crushed garlic and rosemary.
7. Tilt the pan and baste the steak continuously with the garlic rosemary butter for 30–60 seconds.
8. Check the internal temperature and continue cooking until it reaches around 66–68°C for medium-well.
9. Remove from the pan and rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Finish with flaky salt and serve. 🔥

Save this for your next steak night! 🥩
