About Us

Our way

As a direct supply distributor with real multi-channel expertise, we pride ourselves on having an in-depth knowledge of your business, an ability to react quickly and unfaltering commitment to effortless customer experience. We are not your average wine distributor - we are part-owned by three wineries and we provide agency distribution agreements for our other winery partners w

hom we have sourced from across the globe. Our aim is to provide a balance between direct supply and agency business to ensure that we have a broad and relevant portfolio offering incredible value. Set up in 2014, North South Wines might still be the new kid on the block, but we have over 150 years of experience between us that has taken us to some of the world’s most exciting wine regions and enabled us to discover some really fantastic wines along the way. Our winery partners

We work closely with our winery partners to develop wines that match your customers’ tastes and we can do this because we’ve come to know our wineries well over many years. It’s a real pleasure to spend time with them and their families. They’re delighted, too, to have a direct link to you through us. Our wines

Over the last year we've worked at getting a range of wines together that we are really proud of. We’ve selected a wide range of styles and flavours from all over the world. We’re guided by what your customers enjoy, what wines will delight you and have you coming back for more, but also wines we can’t resist taking home to share with our friends and family too. These are not anonymous wines. We’re not a faceless corporate. Every wine in our list has a sense of connection to the place where it was made. We invite you to explore our wines.

Boy were we lucky with the weather. A little too lucky perhaps, as more than a couple of us caught the sun.🥵

Aside from a few boggy sections, it was a delightful route through the Oxfordshire countryside - meticulously plotted out by our sustainability manager Erin. 👏

Kim chatted to en route. We had a couple of stops for refreshments, kindly provided by ‘Tuck Shop’ Tim (on his day off). And we bumped into lambs, deer and red kites along the way.

Marc also met us in Headington with freshly baked hot cross buns.

Just before 4pm, we arrived at Restore’s Garden Café. And what a welcome we got!

Great to catch up with Beth, Julie, Cathryn and the team from and Anton from over a cup of tea and array of tasty cakes.

All in all, an amazing way to finish the challenge.

We’re still raising money for these two brilliant charities and your donations will be put to such good use! The link to our GiveWheel page is in our bio.

For the next few days, you might have to refer to us as North South Wines, the Blister-based wine importer….

We’ve only got 7 days left of our charity challenge raising money for and 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏊

And only 500 odd kilometres left of the 5090!

This Thursday, a group of us will be walking from Bicester to Restore’s Head Office in Oxford, which should take us over the line.

Restore is our long term charity partner that provides such a vital service to people across Oxfordshire who have experienced mental ill health.

From recovery groups to coaching and learning opportunities, their multi-faceted approach helps people rebuild confidence and develop skills.

Here are a few slides that show the various ways Restore supports the Oxfordshire community interspersed with some pictures of the North Wines team either out getting kms or volunteering at their Elder Stubbs allotment.

Any donation, big or small, will make such a difference. You can support us via our GiveWheel page (link.in.bio) 🌱

We’re blessed to have so many inspiring and talented women across our business and this morning, three of them showed they have a real knack for live radio! 🎙️

Kim, Erin and Tanita joined Katie Tyler live on BBC Radio Oxford to talk about our charity challenge as we spend the month clocking up kilometres to raise money for two brilliant causes, The Drinks Trust and Restore.💚

It’s a great listen, check it out on BBC Sounds, they’re up from 11.09.

We’ve covered just over 1,900km so far and there are a lot of tired legs out there! Big shout out to Alicia who completed the Great Welsh Marathon yesterday. 🙌

We’re 1/3 of the way to our target, support us via our GiveWheel page, any donation big or small makes a real difference. ☺️

Charity challenge update. 6 days down and we’ve already ticked over 1,000km. 🏃‍♀️🚴🏊‍♂️

That’s all the way to Reh Kendermann in Germany and a good chunk of the way back to Bicester. We came out of the traps quickly, now we’ve got to sustain it…!

So, now is the perfect time to shine a light on one of the brilliant charities we’re raising money for.

The Drinks Trust is a trade charity that’s there to help anyone working in the drinks industry.

Their range of services covers financial assistance, emotional and wellbeing support and professional development.

Here are a few images that show the impact makes and how they might be able to help you or someone you know in the drinks industry, interspersed with a few of the North South Wines team clocking up the km.

We’re hoping to raise at least £10,000 to support The Drinks Trust and Restore.

Any donation, big or small, would mean a great deal.

B Corp Month is back! 🌱

It’s our third time celebrating and each year is a great reminder of the brilliant community, some 10,000 businesses strong across 103 countries and 160 industries, that are united under the B symbol.

The B represents all the actions, efforts, changes and rigorous measurements that keep us all on a path of positive impact.

A simple symbol. A powerful signal.

At a time of uncertainty, this mark stands for something steady: responsibility, standards, and humanity. We’re proud to stand with it.

This year, we’ve timed our charity challenge to coincide with B Corp Month, so our minds are very focused on measuring our actions and efforts as we set our sights on covering 5,090km as a team and raising £10k for and .

Keep an eye on our social channels throughout the month for updates on the challenge and as we share the story behind our B, the actions, the people and what comes next.

Alicia joined us towards the end of last year and has settled into the Customer Service team so quickly, it feels like she’s worked here for ages.

We wanted to find out a little more about her background and career in wine.

“Starting out in the pubs of Twickenham, my love for hospitality began behind the bar and quickly grew into a career driven by great food, people and naturally, wine.
🇬🇷🇬🇧
After a season working on a Greek island, I returned to the UK post-Covid to join the restaurant team at The Pig at Combe.
I spent some years at the company, and with the wine team completing my WSET qualifications, apprenticeship and visiting English vineyards, working closely with incredibly talented sommeliers and chefs.

The ethos of homegrown produce and championing the English wine industry became something I deeply believe in. I later moved to the Cotswolds to help open the first Pig pub where I worked as Supervisor, helping oversee all things beverage.

After some travelling and reflecting on my next chapter, I knew I wanted to stay in the world of wine. Joining North South Wines has been an eye-opening step into understanding the journey of wine long before it reaches the table.”

Alicia’s favourite wine so far? 🇿🇦🐕

“I was immediately drawn to the Painted Wolf range. Not just by the labels, but the ethos behind the wines. Making wine, supporting conservation and protecting the African Wild Dog all at once - you can’t help but love what they’re trying to achieve.

Pictus VIII has it all going on. It’s got Carignan, Grenache Noir and Gris, Shiraz and even a bit of Mourvèdre. 🍇

There are so many layers of flavour - bramble and forest fruits, leather and a crack of pepper. It’s a stunning combination of brilliant fruit and classy winemaking.”

Portfolio tasting one week. Wine Paris the next. 🚄🇫🇷🍷😅

Kim, Mark, Emily and Tim spent 3 frenetic days in the French capital catching up with as many producers and customers as time would allow.

They made sure to swing by the Albert Bichot stand in time for Denis’ headline set.

Another busy and fulfilling week. Now very ready for the weekend.

North South Wines. Now in Burgundy! 🍷🇫🇷

We’re very excited to introduce Jean Bouchard at our portfolio tasting on Wednesday 4th February.

It’s a big moment for us – our first Burgundy producer and a beautiful addition to our French range.

With nearly 200 years of winemaking heritage, and owned by the legendary Bichot family since 1955, Jean Bouchard offers benchmark wines from across the region.

We’re launching six stunning wines for Indies that showcase the diversity of Burgundy’s terroirs:
🟡 Chablis (arriving later in the year)
🟡 Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine
🟡 Saint-Véran
🔴 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits
🔴 Fixin
🔴 Savigny-les-Beaune

Delphine from Domaines Albert Bichot will be there to walk you through the range and share the Jean Bouchard story.

To join us on the 4th, please register via link in bio (trade only).
