We haven’t done one of these updates for a little while! September is always a slightly weird time of year for us.
You’d think the end of the school holidays would mean everything settles back down, everyone gets back into a routine and the rounds become a bit more predictable. Quite the opposite.
While all our younger families return from their summer holidays, the slightly more mature section of our customer base suddenly disappears…
They’ve all been patiently waiting for the schools to go back so they can take advantage of those cheaper, non-school-holiday prices. Crafty bunch! 👀
Then there’s the weather… What even is it at the moment? Not particularly warm. Not particularly cold. Just sticky, damp, ridiculously high dew points and generally… meh. The sort of weather where absolutely nothing feels dry and somehow everything feels slightly unpleasant.
And finally, do you ever get the feeling the world is just against you?
Well, have a look at the glove that was lying in the road and crossed my path on yesterday’s round. 😂
Honestly. I rest my case.
Anyway, we’re still here, still plodding around Llanelli twice a week, and still massively grateful to every single one of you who continues to support our doorstep milk round. 🥛❤️
Here’s hoping autumn brings crisp mornings, lower dew points and considerably friendlier items of discarded clothing. 😂
