About our project - and how you can help
Thank you for visiting our page. This is our second year and as we are still in early stages of the project, it is only open to families who have been directly referred to us.
We are a community based project established to help alleviate child poverty in our area and support children and deprived families during what is for many families a difficult time, the long summer school holidays where the support provided at schools through breakfast clubs and free school meals is not available for up to six weeks.
A report in 2018 estimated that there were 6,148 children in Mansfield living in poverty, a situation which is unacceptable. As a community project we aim to help children and families by providing emergency food parcels and/or a store voucher for food during the holidays.
We would welcome donations of non perishable food, vouchers, school uniforms in good condition and school shoes.
