‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️⚠️ Warning to event organisers and parents ⚠️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Before sharing our experience, I would like to make one thing clear: we are not posting this because of the money, and we are not demanding a refund. What upset us the most was that many children at our event were left disappointed because they could not enjoy the face painting that had been advertised and planned for them.
As a community business, we would much rather see that money go towards helping children, charitable causes, or community projects than be spent on services that are not delivered as agreed. We are sharing this experience simply because we believe organisers should be able to trust the people they book for their events.
I would like to share my experience with Face Painting By Annabel.
For our Family Festival organised by Pawełek at Canons House Park, we booked face painting services in advance. We agreed on the date and time, paid a deposit, and received confirmation that the booking was secured.
Unfortunately, on the day of the event, the face painter did not arrive as agreed. We tried to contact her and were told she was “on the way”, but nobody showed up. As a result, many children were left disappointed and our event lost one of its planned attractions.
Organising a large community event takes a lot of time, effort, and trust in the people we hire. We are extremely disappointed by what happened.
I am sharing this experience so that other organisers can make informed decisions when booking entertainment services. If this matter is resolved and the deposit is refunded, I will be happy to update this post accordingly.
