As you can see from the photos, this year's summer honey is beautifully light in colour, with a wonderfully delicate flavour that tastes absolutely amazing.

I have started extracting the 2026 honey crop, the bees were busy during the first few weeks of June, but the weather has been far too dry for the flowers the bees collect their nectar from. It's a little sad to see the hive so full of bees and nothing for them to collect. That's beekeeping in the UK for you, who would have thought its was too dry with all this sunshine we have been having.
