At The Highland Weigh, we are looking for a Barista/Sales Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages, as well as providing exceptional customer service. This role will also include assisting other general duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive customer experience
- Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including the coffee bar, kitchen, and seating area
- Assist with delivering orders to tables.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including washing dishes and wiping down surfaces
- Stock and replenish inventory as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Participate in training and development opportunities as required.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

- Full training is provided
- 4 or 8 hour contract available
- Please note, Monday/Tuesday availability is required for this position.
