We've just had news that one of our back shop staff members has tested positive for covid-19 today. It would seem it was passed on by a family member and not through contact with customers.

As a precautionary measure, we are closing the shop to undertake a deep clean tomorrow (Thursday) and plan to open around lunchtime.

All other staff members have tested negative and we will all continue to take twice-weekly tests to help reduce the risk to our staff and customers.

As mentioned in a previous post, we are trying to serve you all as quickly as possible without trying to make you feel pressured. Some customers come in and only require one or two items, and others are buying their weekly supply. We realise that this is far from ideal when the weather is as atrocious as it was today, so thank you all for braving the elements.

Our phone has been red hot today so please keep trying if you're not getting through.

We are offering FREE LOCAL DELIVERY for telephone and online orders so please call and have your shopping delivered.

As our online ordering system requires payment upfront, we only offer Wednesday as the first delivery/collection day of the week, as Tuesdays and Fridays are our days for getting in fresh stock. Due to this, we are unable to offer next day delivery/collection from our online shop.

We understand that online shopping isn't for everyone, and we are very aware that it lacks the personal touch which we pride ourselves on at the shop.

We welcome all customers to the shop and joking aside, we are in NO WAY suggesting that we would rather you ordered your Christmas goodies with us online or by telephone.
