Wine trends are always interesting! At the moment we're seeing a huge surge in demand for dark rosés and light reds. They create some really unusual, dark, red fruit flavours without the typical hefty tannic sensations you might associate with some red wines.

We've got a few different ones, mainly from across the South of France, but one particular producer that makes wines in this style is the exceptional Domaine Wilfried - Réjane et Wilfried Pouzoulas in our range which is super exciting! Come and find them here: https://pompettewine.co.uk/

🍾 As we move towards warmer weather, we're seeing a real interest in lighter, more floral wines. So where better than Alsace to go for those, especially when the winemakers are so exacting. The lovely, bright, fresh and crisp wines from the Domaine Bader Vins d'Alsace match that demand perfectly!

Speaking with Pierre over there has been a really eye-opening. The of winemaking often goes under the radar, but so much effort goes into making exceptional wines, especially those working on very small productions. Who knew how much thought had to go into soil analysis...

It's been a real privilege to learn so much over the past few months and I'm looking forward to continuing on this journey and learning more (even though soil is a little dry). 🍾
