Cornflowers are one of the easiest flowers to recognise and grow. Once a mainstay of the UK's wild flower meadows it's now rarely seen growing in the wild due to widespread herbicide use.... The cultivated cut flower varieties are bred to have strong stems, much bigger flower heads & produce a huge number of stems per plant. It's worth knowing that when planted in the Autumn these plants will dwarf their Spring planted cousins- this is because they've had time to get their roots down over Winter, they're tough and prolific!

Did you know we have 6 different varieties available to order - you choose from Jumbo Plugs or Smaller plug sizes... whatever suits your garden - the 6 varieties include 2 different mixes (Fantastic & Romantic) which produces flowers which are all different- really fun to grow!

Tall and robust, they may need some support from the wind but look at those flowers all ready to open!

This is Pinkie and she's invaluable for us- Flowering in May/June this is a must grow for weddings, bouquet work, buttonholes etc etc!
