We're pleased to share that Kitwave has now completed the acquisition of Charles Saunders Limited, a well-established foodservice wholesaler based in Bristol.

Charles Saunders is one of the Southwest's largest family-owned foodservice businesses, serving customers across the region with a comprehensive range of foodservice and non-food products. The company has built a strong reputation for exceptional customer service, long-standing customer relationships, and deep local market expertise.

Commenting on the acquisition, Ben Maxted, CEO, said:
"Charles Saunders is a highly respected foodservice business with an outstanding reputation across the Southwest, a loyal customer base and an experienced management team. Its customer-focused approach and strong family values make it an excellent fit for the Kitwave Group. We're pleased to announce that Kitwave Group has acquired Fife Creamery, one of Scotland's most respected food wholesalers!

Founded by the Simpson family in 1957, the business has spent almost 70 years building a strong reputation across Scottish retail and hospitality. The Kirkcaldy-based wholesaler will continue to trade under its own name, with the same teams, contacts and day-to-day service its customers know and trust.

Our approach is a simple one. We back established, well-run businesses with the investment and scale to keep growing, while protecting the people, values and service that made them successful in the first place. It's a natural fit.

On the 2nd of July, we swapped depots and delivery routes for the fairways at Rockliffe Hall, hosting our annual golf day in aid of St Oswald's Hospice. ⛳️

Ben Maxted, group CEO, teed off a fantastic day of great golf, good company and plenty of laughs, all for a cause close to our hearts. St. Oswald's provides expert, compassionate care to those living with life-limiting conditions across the North East. As a North East business, backing a charity that does so much for our region felt exactly right.

Together, we're proud to have raised £20,000 for the hospice.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, gave so generously and helped make the day such a success. We'd also like to thank the team at Rockliffe Hall and the NE/NW PGA for their warm welcome and hospitality throughout the day.

Having spent some time in the role, it's clear to see that Mark Earl is bringing real momentum to Kitwave as our new Chief Financial Officer.

Mark has been with the Group since 2015, most recently serving as Group Financial Controller, and has been instrumental in some of our most significant strategic milestones, including our IPO, acquisitions and capital structuring.

He brings a depth of institutional knowledge and financial expertise that makes him exceptionally well placed to lead Group Finance as we continue to grow.

“I am excited to step into the role of CFO at Kitwave. Over the last decade, the Group has achieved incredible growth, and under our new ownership model, we’re in a great position to drive our strategy further.
