It's Monday and the Gaudete-ing Sundays have come to an end with the last of our 2024 Gaudete Sunday having left the stores.

This blend of our Hemina Rosé and OSB Bacchus (both still available) won a Bronze award from the IEWA for its aromatic nose and vibrant notes of grapefruit, cherry, strawberry, mandarin and lime. We are so delighted you've all enjoyed drinking it.

Then why not pop down to Fortieth Rule Winery next Sunday 12th July and help us celebrate our latest Award Winning Wine - "The Oblate".

We are having an "Open House" between 13.00 and 17.00 for people to come and see where our family of Award wines are made.

But why the Yellow Rose I hear you say? Well the answer will be plain to see for those who visit the winery!

We are very excited to announce that The Oblate has won a silver medal at this year’s WineGB Awards! An amazing start to English wine week and an achievement we are very proud of.

With over 370 wines having been judged, it’s confirmation that our winery and small batch wines punch well above their weight - something our members and supporters have known for a while.

Our first barrel aged Chardonnay, The Oblate offers lime and candied citrus fruits on the nose with a rich and textured palate balancing a driving acidity - a uniquely Essex Chardonnay.
