🥇 We Won Gold. And I still can’t quite believe it.
After five years of early mornings, market stalls, sleepless nights and an unshakeable belief in what we were building DOSA – Delicacy of South Asia has been awarded Gold at the Free From Food Awards 2026 in the Grocery category for our Crêpe Dosa Batter.
We were also named Runner Up in the Sustainability Award at the same ceremony.
Let that land for a moment. A small, independent, family-run South Indian food business from Nottingham competing on the same blind taste test stage as Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Asda and winning.
This business started with a recipe.
My mother’s recipe. Stone-ground. Naturally fermented. Made the way it has always been made with patience, tradition, and no shortcuts. I founded DOSA in 2020, during a pandemic, with nothing but passion for food and love for my craft. My sister Priya now runs the business alongside me, and together we have built something we are incredibly proud of.
The road has not been easy. There have been challenges I never anticipated. But reaching this milestone makes every single one of them worth it.
