The Coronation of the BBQ Bothy!!

Dunfermline Food and Drinks Festival
This Saturday 15 August
Fife College KY11 8SJ
10am till 4 pm

Gold standard Boerie Roll, Hand-Made Namibian style thick and juicy and a full 7 inches, no additives, no preservatives, no fillers, just meat and 7 ingredients. Served with fried onion and a choice of sauces including Mrs Ball's Chutney

Low and Slow mini-rack of pork ribs, 5 hours in the smoker, oak whisky barrel wood chips, lashings of our personal honey and molasses sauce and served with buttery corn on the cob and Anne's legendary potato salad

Finished off over Sekelbos coals imported from Namibia.

BILTONG? Indeed. We will have £10 (200g) bags ready made in 4 varieties.

We will be at ARBROATH Festival tomorrow held at the Inchcape Park, Arbroath, DD11 1PU

11am to 4pm

I have repaired the Mincer, new gears and food grade grease (would that work of my Cruiser diff?). Sadly Drywors will have to wait till the middle of next week, our apologies!

But we do have the first small harvest of GEM SQUASH!

Great news! Our Traditional Biltong has been awarded a Great Taste 1-Star Award 2026.

Great Taste is the world's largest and most trusted food accreditation scheme. Every product is judged by expert panels in blind tastings, so receiving this award is something we're incredibly proud of.

The judges comments were:

"The aroma is meaty and of aged beef. The texture is surprisingly tender and soft... The meat has depth and complexity... We enjoyed the balance of flavours as well as the texture. A tasty and moreish biltong."
