First bbq of the season!!

I had these gorgeous tiger prawns from my local fish market, so decided to fire them up and serve smothered in a wild garlic, chilli & wine butter.

It was incredible.

We’re married!!!

Last Saturday was an absolute dream that I wish we could do all over again!!

Everything went so well and every single vendor treated us like royalty.

served up an even better menu than I could ever imagine, from the canapés to the hog roast, we ate SO WELL. I’ve never received so many compliments.

and captured the essence of the day and really made me feel at ease.
bridal worked her magic and made myself and my bridal party’s hair look personal and elegant.

put her years of make up experience into play by making us looking like dewy, glowing angels.

served up our incredible cocktail requests, along with shot paddles which went down an absolute hit!!

created STUNNING florals, she got my brief immediately and produced such an elegant, bright and somewhat edible design.

married us in such a loving, intentional ceremony. She listened to our story and shared it beautifully with our guests.

were so accommodating and shared in our joy too. I can’t get over at how beautiful the venue was.

created our ombré cake, flavoured with our favourite combinations and decorated it seamlessly with the rest of the venue.

helped me find this gorgeous gown, I really did feel incredible in it.

altered my gown to perfection too.

My heart is completely full, I will forever look back on this gorgeous day with complete joy.

I’m officially off the menu!

My hen weekend was the absolute BEST, I mean theming it all around food was absolutely perfect.

From pizza making, to wine tasting, to a bespoke Sicilian menu created just for me; it was a blast and I wish we could do it all over again.

Big shout out to my incredible bridesmaids & for organising it all and putting up with my constant demand for games.

for the STUNNING food and masterclass gossip.

for the educational and fun time that descended into madness after those hats came out.

Turkish eggs for weekend breakfast!

There will never be a time I won’t crave this dish; it’s creamy, it’s fatty, it’s salty and it’s rich.

I nearly gave up on poached eggs with the new induction hob, since I’ve always been a gas girlie, which meant I have been without them for two years now! Instead I slowed down, figured it out, and now these Turkish eggs feel extra special.

Sometimes the effort really does change the dish.

Date night! 🍝

We’ve really got into making homemade pasta and I adore coming up with new sauces to pair with this delectable carb.

It was a ‘use up what we have already’ night, so we decided to do a three courser with no trips to the shops.

To start

Leftover blinis from Christmas topped with yoghurt, miso & hot honey glazed ham and finished with fresh spring onion

Main

Freshly made spaghetti tossed with a remoulade made of tinned mackerel, olives, anchovies, chilli, lemon & garlic. Finished with lobster oil and a fat dollop of caviar.

Dessert

Chocolate cloud cake with raspberry coulis, made from the berries I picked in summer!

This was an outstanding impromptu meal and was a great challenge to use up what we had.

I have a feeling it won’t be the last time we do this…
