As a trial run to see if there is a need for an evening pantry we will be holding one on Wednesday 1st July at St Helen's Church, Pinxton from 5pm to 7pm. This will replace the morning pantry which is cancelled on Tuesday 30th June, for that week only. If it proves popular and it is viable then our intention is to do one evening pantry each month.
All residents from Pinxton and South Normanton are welcome to join on the day (£2 a year membership) and come along for a £5 or £10 shop of fridge, freezer, tinned, bread, household, fruit, veg and other bits and bobs. Thank you for all of your support.

Thank you to all who came for their shop today - we really appreciate your support. There are some remaining oranges, tomato's, carrots, cucumber etc out under the bench so if you're passing feel free to take some for yourself, the horses or the chickens.

We were thinking of changing to hold an evening community pantry once a month on a Wednesday evening ( 6 till 7pm ) instead of on the Tuesday morning ( once a month). It would be virtually the same as our normal Tuesday Pantry just in the evening on a Wednesday. Is this something People would be interested in at all ? We could only really do it if there's at least 20 people who'd think they'd regularly use it. We have generally between 20 and 50 at our Tuesday morning pantries so it's going well we're just aware some people are unable to attend due to work commitments etc.
