Thanks to everyone for coming to the van this week. Its very much appreciated.
Just to let everyone know that after a lot of consideration unfortunately the van won't be out next week.
I mentioned to most of my customers today and yesterday why (i only found out on Wednesday evening about the situation). Unfortunately the haddock has been very difficult to get and because of this the prices this week took a massive jump after a couple of months at record high prices. Ive decided to take next week off to get my new van completely finished as i certainly dont want to hike my prices up. Good quality fish is expensive enough
Im hoping when i start back the markets will be better and more settled, as last year it was around 20th June things started to improve. Its usual at this time of year to have high fish prices but this week has been exceptionally high and from what im hearing from some suppliers that next week will be similar and I may struggle to get haddock so im thinking that getting my van done seems the sensible thing to do. It will be another working holiday for me πŸ˜€
I hope everyone understands and i hope to see you all week starting 22nd June. Thanks again. 🐟
