Our History

The story of Drambuie begins over 270 years ago in July 1746. It was a secret recipe created for Bonnie Prince Charlie by his Royal Apothecary in the 18th Century. When John MacKinnon, Chief of Clan MacKinnon helped the Prince escape from The Isle of Skye the Prince gave John the secret recipe to his personal liqueur, a gift that the Clan were to treasure down the generations. The recipe has changed hands a few times since then but has remained largely unaltered over the years. The House Rules

We want to our page to be a place where Drambuie fans can gather to find out the latest news, talk about their favourite drink and discover new ways to enjoy Drambuie. For the good of our community, here are our house rules:

• Repeated duplicate postings (spam) by the same user or groups will be removed as they clutter up discussion threads for other users.

• Comments that contain swearing, spam, sensitive personal information, inappropriate links, threatening, defamatory, profane, obscene material, or ones that suggest illegal or immoral activity will be removed. Any posts or comments that are derogatory to, or incite hatred towards specific social groups will also be removed, likewise with any that contain violence, bullying and discrimination (including racism, sexism and homophobia).

• Treat others as you would like to be treated. Abusive language, aggression and bullying will not be tolerated and will be removed, and persistent users blocked from the page.

• We do not allow links that direct people to irrelevant sites or adverts. Commercial solicitation or requests for donations will also be removed.

• Drambuie retains the right to remove content posted to our page or block users from posting to this page for any other reason deemed necessary to maintain a happy community.

We're loving this creative masterpiece from ! "The Original Nuttah!" applies modern culinary techniques to elevate a style not dissimilar to our classic Rusty Nail—featuring pistachio fat-washed Scotch, Drambuie, and Amaro with a beautiful lemon & pistachio crisp garnish.
