A couple of days in Luxembourg, a little inspiration and the start of a new sourdough journey… 🇱🇺🍞

This week I had the pleasure of attending a Thermomix Team Leader Conference in Luxembourg - and what a few days it was!

A beautiful location, top-notch food, lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes and, perhaps best of all, the chance to catch up with colleagues and friends, both old and new ♥️

There are some really exciting things happening within Thermomix, and I can’t wait to see what the coming months bring!

One of the things I love about being an independent Thermomix Advisor & Team Leader is that there’s so much more to it than simply selling a cooking machine. There are opportunities to meet people from different countries and cultures, learn, travel, develop your business and experience some pretty special events along the way.

One of our gifts was a sourdough starter from the very well-known Belgian chef Roger van Damme 🇧🇪

And the timing honestly couldn’t have been better.

After a very busy summer of travelling, my own sourdough routine had rather fallen by the wayside, so I was already planning to start again.

So far, so good! He’s a very active little critter and I’ve christened him Roger 😂 My first loaf has now been mixed 🍞

Of course, Thermomix can help you get started on your sourdough journey too - from feeding your starter, weighing the ingredients, to mixing and kneading your dough.

Now we wait…

Thermomix Branch Meeting = Thermomix, good food & a little bit of gossip…😂

Today we got together for our Monday meeting, and naturally we had to put the TM7 to work!

We made this Coronation Chickpea filling for wraps and WOW… 🤤 So simple, so tasty and absolutely perfect for Meat Free Monday 💚

But now for the important bit…

🥶 From a chilly dip in the lake to the ultimate comfort food…

Yesterday felt positively autumnal here, so after a chilly dip in the lake, we were ALL ready for something warm and comforting!

I ended up trying a different meatball recipe in my Thermomix 😋

The recipe called for a 3-hour slow cook, but who has time for that when everyone is hungry?! 😂 So I adapted it.

I cooked the sauce for an hour, with the meatballs cooking beautifully in the Varoma at the same time. Then I transferred the sauce and meatballs into the oven to finish off while I got on with cooking the spaghetti.

And the result? Bloody delicious👌🏼

It also reminded me that, as much as the double bowl bundle was a fantastic offer, it’s a ‘nice to have, not a must have’.

The double bowl bundle may have sold out, but you can still cook a meal like this for a crowd with the one standard mixing bowl that comes included with your TM7 🙌🏼

The Thermomix did the sauce, cooked the meatballs in the Varoma and I simply finished everything off in the oven while the pasta cooked.

🍕 When leftover pizza dough becomes something even better…😋

After doing the homemade pizzas over the weekend, I had some pizza dough left over.

So I rolled it out, covered it with cheese, crushed garlic and fresh parsley, rolled it up, sliced it into scrolls and finished with a sprinkle of chilli flakes 🌶️

One of the things I love about my Thermomix is that it makes cooking from scratch so easy.

No waste. Just good food 🍕🧄🧀

About last Friday…🥘🇪🇸

Friday Fakeaway went a little bit Spanish this week!

We’ve had lots of guests this weekend, so I needed something that would feed a crowd - and what better than a huge pan of paella?

Packed with chicken, chorizo, shrimp and mussels, all brought together with a fresh tomato sofrito, peppers and plenty of Spanish flavour. Finished with fresh parsley and plenty of lemon 🍋

There’s something about cooking a massive paella outdoors when you’ve got a crowd to feed. It’s delicious, it looks impressive and everyone can just tuck in!
