What do you do?

After being glutened during my trip to Barcelona, I spent the trip mostly in bed recovering.

One thing coeliac disease has taught me is that it's okay to feel frustrated when things go wrong.

But it's also taught me resilience.

Because after every setback, we get back up and keep making memories ❤️ and not letting coeliac disease hold you back 🫶

Have you ever been glutened while travelling?

After recently being glutened abroad, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on trust and coeliac safety when travelling.

And honestly?

It’s made me realise that luxury doesn’t automatically equal understanding when it comes to gluten free food.

Some of the places I’ve personally felt safest eating have actually been chains with clear systems, training and consistency.

Because for coeliacs, safety isn’t about aesthetics or star ratings.

It’s about communication, education, procedures… and people truly understanding the seriousness of cross contamination.

One mistake can impact days of a trip 💔

Coeliacs — where have you felt MOST safe eating gluten free?

The diagnosis is life changing, some days are harder than others. The loss of freedom is now the biggest struggle I feel.
However, the choices available now and awareness is growing everyday. Your voice matters, always 🫶
