One orange wine, one plate of anchovies, one bowl of feta-covered fries and suddenly you're cancelling any ambitions of being productive.

Three venues absolutely understood the assignment.

The Riesling was razor-sharp, the Viognier was all stone fruit and swagger, and the orange wine got the day off to exactly the sort of start that makes timelines and responsibilities feel increasingly theoretical.

🚨 Wee Caviste has returned to Scotland. 🚨

After a thoroughly exhausting period of "research" across Champagne, the Basque Country, Catalunya and Provence, we're back home and armed with far more knowledge than is strictly necessary about Champagne, Txakoli, Cava and Rosé.

There were vineyard visits. There were questionable decisions involving "just one more glass". There were lengthy debates about acidity, lees ageing and whether pintxos should count as a complete food group. There may also have been some sunshine.

The good news is that we've come back with loads of new stories, new wines, fresh ideas and plenty of inspiration for future tastings.

So if you've been thinking about booking a Wee Caviste event, now's the time. The passport has been stamped, the homework has been done, and we're ready to bore delight you with everything we've learned along the way.

Champagne. Txakoli. Cava. Rosé.
It's a hard life, but someone has to do it.

What. A. Night 🫶✨

We had such a great night at the breathtaking Galloway Larder last night in the beautiful Gatehouse of Fleet. These guys have the most beautiful wine bar and the food that chef made to accompany the wines was INCREDIBLE.

We showcased some stunning wines from - from fresh and bubbly sparkling wines, to some trusted favourites - with the show stoppers for the night being .loosen’s Ürzinger Würszgarten and ’s Grenache MF which we served chilled.

Thank you so much for having us, The Galloway Larder by Apothecally and thank you so much gorgeous guests for coming!
