THIRSTY THURSDAY 🍺

This week we’re cracking open something from a brand-new Northern Irish brewery - Treble Brewing & Blending.

Dún Iris – House Saison | 5.5%

Citrusy, spicy and packed with yeast character, with that properly refreshing saison finish.

It’s not often we get to welcome a completely new brewery onto the Northern Irish beer scene, so it’s good to see Treble Brewing & Blending getting started.

They’re having their launch party at The Sunflower this Friday, so hopefully we’ll see a few of you there.

63°C or 69°C. Does it really make that much difference?

Mash temperature is one of those brewing variables that gets quoted in recipes all the time, but understanding why you’re choosing a particular temperature is much more useful than simply following the number.

A lower mash temperature will generally encourage a more fermentable wort, while a higher mash temperature can leave more behind, helping build body and residual character.

But mash temperature is only part of the picture.

Yeast, grist, mash time, pH and the rest of your process all have a say in where the beer eventually finishes.

Brew Better #01 looks at what mash temperature is actually changing, and why the right temperature depends on the beer you’re trying to make.

Water is one of the most overlooked ingredients in brewing. 🍻

The minerals in your brewing water influence mash performance, hop bitterness, mouthfeel, and overall balance. Even small adjustments can make a noticeable improvement to the final beer.
Understanding your water is another step toward brewing with more consistency and confidence. Happy Brewing 💧🍻

More hop aroma. More finished beer. What more could you want?

HyperBoost® is a concentrated hop oil extract designed to deliver intense, variety-specific hop aroma and flavour.

Developed primarily for fermentation and other cold-side additions, it can replace some or all of the hop pellets you would normally use at these stages. It can also be used in the whirlpool, but it is not intended for kettle additions.

Because HyperBoost contains no hop vegetative material, replacing pellets can reduce hop solids, beer absorption and waste, potentially improving finished beer yield.

It is concentrated, easy to dose and requires considerably less storage space than an equivalent quantity of pellet hops.

For breweries looking to increase hop character while reducing dry-hop losses, HyperBoost offers an efficient and practical option.

Try HyperBoost and taste the difference.

We supply brewing ingredients, but what we offer goes far beyond the order.

Mal from Heaney Brewery shares why they choose Get ’Er Brewed as one of their brewing suppliers.
