Lots of restaurants have started their own DIY delivery boxes to help bring the the dine out experience home for all of us in lockdown.

The Beefy Boys are a local burger place in sunny Herefordshire and I have been wanting to go there since the first time I saw their instagram! I've never been dedicated enough to trek the long journey over, so their new DIY boxes were a god send!

They deliver all over the UK and the standard box makes 6 of their wonderful Bacon Cheeseburgers with secret sauce!

It was good fun to follow the instructions and create these in our kitchen and they were INCREDIBLE.

S T I C K S 🧀

Two balls of mozzarella (the 47p bags from Aldi will do)

Cut the cheese into strips

Coat in cornflour

Dip in egg mix (one egg whisked)

Dip in golden breadcrumbs mixed with southern fried seasoning

Pop them in the freezer for 30mins

Pan fry until golden and before the cheese escapes! 🤤

Long time no see!! All has been quiet on the Love Food page for some time now.

First of all I was pregnant!! Morning sickness hit me hard but so did my love of food. All I wanted was McDonald's fries and Lucozade original 🤣

After baby was born, he was very poorly and we were in hospital a couple of months. In all honesty we totally lost interest and excitement in food... And then the worst happened... We got addicted to takeaway and convenience food 🙈

Anyway we are back on the straight and narrow... A lot of thanks to Gousto for breaking bad habits and inspiring us with new recipes!

The page is back active again and will be filled with a range of homemade grub, gousto creations, eating out (when we are allowed) and me exploring some veggie options paired with Matt's love for meat!

Another Outstanding meal at The Tardebigge ❤️

Starters:
Scotch egg with tomato chutney
Battered Halloumi with mango salsa

Mains:
Burger with cheese & bacon
Pizza with garlic mushrooms, caramelised onions, peppers and aubergine

It was really busy and I'm glad I booked. Great atmosphere, good service and just gorgeous food. This places really excites me 😁

So this week I've made two Banana Cakes and the mixture takes literally 5-10mins max ...

1 Banana and dark chocolate cake for the Macmillan Coffee Morning

1 Banana and white chocolate cake for my darling ❤️

I've surprised myself on both with just how moist and delicious they were (💨🎺) so for a quick and easy cake that anyone can make....

Ingredients 🍰
140g softened butter
140g caster sugar
140g self raising flour
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 overripe bananas
Big Chocolate bar of your choice!

Method 🐝
Preheat oven 160fan
Butter a tin

1. Mix butter and sugar
2. Then mix in eggs
3. Fold in the flour and baking powder
4. Mash bananas in a bowl then add to cake mix
5. Smash up your chocolate and mix in
6. Chuck in the tin and cook on middle shelf for 40 mins or until knife comes out clean.

Best eaten warm and melty 😇🥰

No dry banana cake here 😎
