We are so proud of our community after an incredible Murdoch Day and Redruth Pride!

This year’s Murdoch Day theme was Pride in Community, and it was the perfect celebration of the people, places and organisations that make our town so special, and the communities we’re proud to be part of and work with: inclusive spaces, independent businesses, market traders, cultural organisations, heritage buildings, our town’s history and traditions, musicians, artists, food producers, community groups, LGBTQI+ community and all the incredible, vibrant people bringing new life into our town centre.

A huge thank you to Redruth Pride, Bond Street Collective and Discover Redruth for organising such a fantastic day of events, and to Paul Armer, Last Dog Standing, Redruth Daytime Choir, House of Damnation with Evilyn Carnate, Roxie Moron, Object, Miss Tache and our resident DJ No-Sight Stu for bringing so much energy to the courtyard.

And most of all, a big shoutout to everyone who came along, supported our independent businesses, feasted on some street food, sipped an After-Party cocktail and made the courtyard such a welcoming and inclusive place to be.

Here’s to celebrating Redruth, and everyone who fills it with joy ❤️

Miracle Theatre is bringing its magical twist and love of laughter to the classic tale of Peer Gynt back to the Buttermarket courtyard!

Loosely based on Henrik Ibsen’s epic comic poem, this famous morality tale is perfect material for Miracle Theatre’s highly visual style: physical, funny, surreal and deeply human. Expect a riotous journey through a dream-like world of Norse mythology, peopled with cranky characters, trolls and other bizarre creatures. A comedy of terrors.

Bring a chair for this outdoor courtyard performance, grab a glass of wine from Earles bar and kitchen line-up to be announced soon …

What a day!

From Murdoch Day sunshine to Pride after-dark sparkle, the courtyard was absolutely buzzing.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported our independent kitchens, incredible performers, traders, teams and community groups, and helped fill the Buttermarket with so much energy, joy and celebration.

Sunday Soundtrack is your weekly Sunday at the Buttermarket!

Street food from our independent kitchens, drinks from Earles Bar, and an easy-going soundtrack from familiar Buttermarket resident musicians Tadhg Cullen, Tom Dale, Ben Joseph and DJ Tim Hendy.

It's quickly become the spot for long lunches, easy afternoons and catching up over good food.

If you're in need of a sunshine-filled feast and a pint after a busy Murdoch Day and Redruth Pride weekend, Ben Joseph will be setting the scene this Sunday while you tuck in.

Kitchens serving from 12–3pm. See you in the courtyard!

Our kitchens are always the main event, but if you fancy a little something sweet while deciding where to feast next, Earles Bar has you covered...

We've stocked up on fresh bakes from Cornish Cake Maid, including buttercream lemon meringue cake slices, chocolate twirl brownies and vegan maple & pecan blondies, alongside our much-loved cookies from Madame Laity.

Perfect paired with an Origin latte, an iced coffee in the sunshine, or a proper cup of tea before diving into all your street food favourites, served throughout the morning and afternoon between kitchen services. A sweet pit stop before the feast begins.

The Buttermarket courtyard is turning up the volume for the Redruth Pride After-Party 🌈✨

In collaboration with Redruth Pride, we're bringing an evening packed with music, drag, dancing, street food and plenty of sparkle to the heart of Redruth.

Our infamous resident DJ No-Sight Stu will be soundtracking the evening with a Pride-filled set, as House of Damnation opens the courtyard stage from 7.30 pm with a spectacular drag show hosted by the incredible Evilyn Carnate and featuring performances from Object, Roxie Moron and Miss Tache.

We'll be pouring peachy Pride cocktail specials, serving up street food from our independent kitchens, and keeping the bar open late so you can keep dancing and sparkling into the night...

Come hungry, come dancing, come as you are 💖

Big flavours have arrived back in the Food Hall! Joji and Hollie from The Cornish Fijian are back in the pop-up kitchen, serving the vibrant Fijian dishes that made their last Buttermarket stint such a hit.

On the menu? Think chargrilled pork shoulder, fragrant potato curry, fresh kokoda cured fish, and plenty more flavour-packed dishes inspired by Joji's Fijian roots.

Big flavours, colourful plates, and something a little different from your usual lunch or dinner run. Find them in the Food Hall and give them a warm Buttermarket welcome back!

They’re back … and we can’t wait to dig in!
