This recognition means so much not just personally, but as a reflection of the values that drive everything I do. I absolutely adore wandering around looking at the fruit and vegetables in its natural form. The aroma and freshness is distinctly different from supermarket packaging.
Sadly some of the fruit were not ripe for the picking but my son and I managed to enjoy the mangosteens and rambutans.
Lemon grass was added to a curry and there are no words to describe how delicious it was.
I will be doing a reel of my folks garden which hosts an abundance of treasures. Keep your eyes 👀 peeled.

For me Christmas has always been about family, loved ones, and the fellowship of sharing a meal. Offerings at the Christmas table vary depending on tradition, customs and culture. However, the one theme which remains universally, is the emphasis on serving something slightly special as opposed to the norm.
This year i was treated to a delicious Chinese Christmas feast courtesy of my niece .alex
and her partner Fraveen. Whilst i enjoyed every tasty mouthful, in all honesty I would have been equally as happy with beans on toast! The most memorable part was being with my beloved family after three long years.
Wherever you were and whatever grand or humble feast you had, I hope it was filled with joy and love. 🎄 ً

Dim sum doesn’t need much of an introduction as I’m yet to meet someone who hasn’t heard of it.
This restaurant in my hometown of Seremban is popular amongst the locals and I understand why. Not only is the dim sum hand rolled and fresh, the variety of options is incredible. I wasn’t a fan of the chicken feet but it seemed to be a firm favourite amongst the diners.
I am in love with the soup dumplings, Chee yeung fun, and the salted egg custard buns.
Let me know in the comments what your favourites are.

Poori
Puri or poori is an unleavened deep fried bread made from whole wheat flour (atta), salt, and water. Popular in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, it’s a versatile staple often served for breakfast, snacks or light meals.
It was quite fascinating to watch a flat piece of pastry fluff up into an airy golden ball, as soon as it hit the boiling hot oil.
The poori in this shop is considerably larger than the traditional ones but no complaints from me! Traditionally served with chick pea curry or potato curry and chutney, it’s simply a crispy taste of heaven. ✈️
