THIS IS WHAT SMALL-BATCH JUICING ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE 🌱
Making juice for us isn’t about throwing a list of ingredients into one machine, bottling whatever comes out and moving on to the next batch.
There’s a process behind every bottle.
And different plants need treating differently.
For our cold-pressed ingredients, we use our
Norwalk stainless-steel juicing system.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are chopped and broken down into pulp before being wrapped and pressed slowly under pressure to extract their juice.
But not everything responds best to exactly the same process.
🥝 Our kiwi was prepared and pressed through the Norwalk.
🍉 Our watermelon was processed to capture as much of that naturally water-rich juice as possible. chopped, hand mashed then pulsed in a blender, then poured through a muslin cloth and hand pressed
🍓 The strawberries need the same approach .
🌿 And for our Green Hydrator, we blended fresh spinach with coconut water, allowing us to use the whole leafy ingredient rather than simply chasing a clear juice.
Some ingredients are chopped.
Some are blended.
Some are extracted with a citrus juicer
Some are wrapped by hand in cloth.
Some are pressed whole.
Some are hand-squeezed first and then placed under the steel press to extract what remains.
Why go to all that effort?
Because we’re not trying to make juice as quickly as possible.
We’re trying to extract the highest quality of juice we can from the ingredients in front of us. understanding that every signlge product is different.
And that’s also why Pressed & Blessed stays intentionally small-batch.
Small-batch production gives us freedom.
Freedom to taste as we go.
Freedom to change a recipe when this week’s ginger is particularly fiery or the citrus is beautifully sharp.
Freedom to work with seasonal produce.
Freedom to test a new combination, adjust the balance and create something completely different for the following market.
And freedom to create juices that are intentional, designed around hydration, nourishment, greens, digestion, energy or simply helping you get more fresh plants into your day, without every bottle tasting the same.
This week alone we’ve been measuring the actual yield from our produce, learning how each ingredient behaves and creating two completely new market blends:
🍉 Watermelon Glow 🍉
Watermelon • Strawberry • Cucumber • Coconut Water • Lime • Mint
🥝 Green Hydrator 🥝
Apple • Kiwi • Cucumber • Spinach • Coconut Water
Two very different juices.
Two completely different flavour experiences.
Made from real plants, in small batches, with a lot of hands-on work behind every bottle.
Because for us, Pressed & Blessed was never supposed to be fast food in a bottle.
It’s about slowing the process down, understanding the ingredients and creating fresh, intentional nourishment that can change with the seasons.
Small batches. Real ingredients. Purposefully pressed. 🌱
Available this Saturday at Royston Market.
