Surdeig's Almond Croissant 🥐
We bake our croissants fresh especially for our Almond croissants. This classic pastry is a long process of cold proofing and lamination of Welsh butter that gives these croissants their unique value.
After cooling, we soak them in vanilla syrup then fill with an Almond frangipane, topped with more frangipane, then finished with a ton of flaked almonds and baked until golden.
Sometimes we add home made rhubarb or cherry jam inside or Belgium chocolate and pistachio.

Our favourite day of the week again.

The fridge is full today with milk, cheese and yogurt from our herd of pasture-fed Red Poll cows, fresh bread and cinnamon buns from , herbs and salad from , and plenty of duck eggs from Mum’s ducks.

Simple, local food produced by people who care about doing things properly.

Open all day.
