Ladies and gentlemen,

I’d just like to take a moment to congratulate the Chairman Dave Grose on what is undoubtedly one of the biggest signings of his career!

We all know that being Chairman of a football club takes commitment, patience, loyalty and the ability to keep smiling when things don’t quite go to plan — so, in many ways, he’s had some excellent training for married life!

But today wasn't about football, fixtures, results or what needs doing at the club. Today was about two people starting an amazing new chapter together.

On behalf of everyone from The Pitch Sports Bar, I’d like to wish you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, good health and unforgettable memories.

May you always be on the same team, may you tackle whatever life throws at you together, and may there be considerably fewer arguments at home than there are on the sideline!

Chairman, you’ve led the club through plenty — but today you’ve definitely lifted the biggest trophy of all, our Katie Morcom
