Over the coming months we'll be moving our coffee bags across to a new packaging format, starting with our 1kg bags and gradually rolling it out to the rest of the range.

While our current kraft paper bags look recyclable, they're actually made from multiple layers of different materials, which makes them difficult to recycle through normal household collections.

The new bags are made from a single recyclable material, meaning they can be recycled where soft plastics are accepted.

The coffee inside isn't changing. The bags will still have the valve and resealable zip you'd expect, and they'll continue to do the important job of keeping your coffee fresh.

You'll start to see the new packaging appearing over the next few months as we work through existing stock.

I've had a few calls today and it's becoming quite the regular occurrence.

The answer is simple: we don't have one.

The Teesside Coffee Co. operates online and at farmers' markets across the region. By keeping things simple, we can focus on sourcing and roasting great coffee rather than running a retail premises.
