At the last cobble market I had a couple of requests for some Whitby scenes, so I thought I would paint this one from one of my sketches.
The 199 steps are an absolute must if able when in Whitby and the offer an amazing view across the town and coast. This is one of the most iconic shots of the town and you can view/ buy my version, in my folk art style (along with the original sketch) this Sunday for 3rd Cobble Market.

‘Our Scarborough Heroes’,
This new piece is a personal favourite. It shows the team on exercise, (which is incredible to watch).
I have just ordered some prints of this and 20% of any sales from this will be donated to the RNLI as a small gesture for their work.
The original is 60x60cm acrylic on canvas.

Absolutely thrilled to hand this piece over to Samantha and the team Ellis Hay today.
First time I’ve been asked to paint a gnome (maybe not the last). I was sent some reference photos, then did a couple of sketches to decide on the composition and with that agreed it was time to paint.
Love working with local people and businesses creating something for them to enjoy.

After some family time and a great few days away I was back to the ‘day job’ over the weekend.
I was brilliant to see so many happy people and now as we start June our summer season really begins.
This is a quick sketch of our beautiful top station, which has many original features from 1881. As ever looking forward to forming part of some people’s holiday stories at the tramway.
