What a busy weekend it’s been for Matt & Bex at Edenbridge & Oxted Show.
One of Phil’s tractors that has stood in the shed for over 20 years was moved to the show as a project to see if the tractor enthusiasts could get it running and as you can see they were successful.
Our thanks go to everyone involved, Matt was so chuffed and Phil would have loved seeing everyone tinkering with it.
Monty had a great time riding on the County footplate. He was photographed a lot!
Bex will post her showing results later.
It was a great weekend.

Most people get to enjoy a leisurely day on their birthday but not this one.
Wishing our fabulous Matt a very Happy Birthday. You’re doing an amazing job and dad would be so very proud of you.
There’s more to do but we know you’ll step up to those challenges with the same determination as you have this year.
It’s lovely to see you smiling a little more😊

Another new addition today!
Esme had a lovely heifer calf today. She was struggling to have her so we helped her out, this is why she is yellow. She is up and feeding well now.

Coco and Kev have settled in with the herd now after a few days back with them. Kev just needs a mate to play with now! A couple are looking fairly close so hopefully shouldn’t be too many days.

Did you know cows love blackberries?
Here Josie is happily tucking into blackberries in the hedgerow! They all love them and we quite often see purple stains on the whiter cows where they have licked themselves after eating them. I quite like blackberries but don’t normally get to have any as these girls will eat them before they are ripe 🤣

It seems we have started calving!! Coco decided to have her calf 2 weeks early, today. Both mum and her boy are doing well. He is quite small due to being early but is feeding well and they are now in the shed for a couple of days to bond. Coco was Phil’s favourite cow so she is extra special to us ❤️

When you buy direct from British farmers, you’re not just buying great tasting food of known provenance. You are directly investing in the future of small family farms.

We don’t expect you to buy your entire weekly food shop from a farm. But just by frequenting them perhaps once a week and buying a few items, or ordering a meat or veg box occasionally, you are making a difference.

Produce & Provide doesn’t just work to promote the farms on our website, we also want to empower people to make more informed choices about where their food really comes from and how it was produced.

Investing some of your household budget in these farms means we can continue to enjoy a rich diversity of food produced the way we want it.

Find your farmers on our interactive map at www.produceandprovide.co.uk
