Muckle Roe Chapel A self-catering luxury holiday cottage with 3 bedrooms(sleeping 7 people) on the island of Muckle Roe, Shetland, with stunning seaside view.

The Chapel was originally built in 1912 and was used for church services until around 2010. The present owners bought it in 2012 and renovated and extended it in 2013-2014. The Chapel is now used for holiday lets. The Chapel has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 7 people. The master bedroom has an en suite and there is one bathroom. The Chapel extension is an open plan kitchen and lounge with a mezzanine loft

area and a log burning stove. The kitchen/lounge has a 180 degrees panoramic view from Brae in the north to Aith in the south. This fantastic view is maximised by large full height windows. The Chapel has been tastefully renovated to very high standards with modern facilities whilst retaining some of the original features, such as the stained glass window, the vestry table and old pews. The Chapel is on a 1000m2 site with a sizeable lawn overlooking the sea and plenty of parking at the front. The serenity and calm permeating it offer a genuine change of pace for visitors. I took quite a few photographs from the front deck and the house surround as spectacular light just seems to gather there.”
